Over the past 2 years, we have been doing conservation / restoration work on many caves in the valley. The most recent one being Moonmilk Pot, next to Darfar Pot Top Entrance. (See photo right.)

These days we work closely with the National Trust to identify new cave sites that might be of archaeoligical interest as well as acting to preserve the caves already found over the years.

We are also continueing unfinished surveying and exploration work at sites like Darfar Pot, Riverside Swallet, etc.

Darfar / Dafar
You should be aware that Darfar (as in Darfar Bridge, Pot, etc.) is misspelt as Dafar on OS maps of a certain scale. On larger scaled (more detailed) maps it is correct as you can see on the excellent Magic web site. This map shows the correct spelling and this one the incorrect spelling. (Then of course there's Darfur, which is a place in Africa...)
