Carleswark Cavern - 6/5/2007

Carleswark Cavern - May 2007

Excellent trip down Carleswark Cavern today. Ed, Ian, Pete and Martin decended via Eyam Dale Shaft, visited the upstream (Shag's Sump) and downstream (Bedpan Sump) ends of Big Dig Series, then the Lower (downstream) Sump in Stalactite Passage before exiting the cave via Eyam Passage.

Before starting the traverse of Eyam Passage the four celebrated Pete's birthday with Muffins and water!

About 3 1/2 hours were spent underground.

Who's Online

Darfar / Dafar

You should be aware that Darfar (as in Darfar Bridge, Pot, etc.) is misspelt as Dafar on OS maps of a certain scale. On larger scaled (more detailed) maps it is correct as you can see on the excellent Magic web site. This map shows the correct spelling and this one the incorrect spelling. (Then of course there's Darfur, which is a place in Africa...)
