The Lean Mean Milner Machine PDF Print E-mail

Press Association News Release.

Darfar club brings sausage cooking into the 21st century.

Following the confinement of Barbeque Dave by the Mumwabe tribe, fellow club members were concerned for his safety. Having failed to attract an olympic bid there are rumours of the retirement of Dave's carbide Torch. However club members are concerned about their sausages, so following a committee meeting a solution was thrashed out.

The new leaner Martin was soon on the case and purchased a new sausage cooker. This mean machine promises to keep 'The Lads' well fed and ready for the Manifold valley's most difficult challenges ahead, especially on Bank Holidays when club meetings take a little longer.

Darfar / Dafar
You should be aware that Darfar (as in Darfar Bridge, Pot, etc.) is misspelt as Dafar on OS maps of a certain scale. On larger scaled (more detailed) maps it is correct as you can see on the excellent Magic web site. This map shows the correct spelling and this one the incorrect spelling. (Then of course there's Darfur, which is a place in Africa...)
