Caves in eyam dale PDF Print E-mail

Went solo in eyam today to try the knee out. Not bad a little stiff but otherwise OK.

Does anyone know what the cave on the south side of the dale near eyam is. Blue plastic barrel entrance shaft ( about 5 deep )just above the road This is not shown in my caves of Derbyshire guide ??  Martin any ideas ???

Flower Pot
That would be Flower Pot, it drops into the far reaches of the Dynamite Series of Carlwark. There was a collapse at the bottom of the shaft some time ago and some peeps on ukcaving were looking to re-open it and make it safe. Cheers, Martin.

Darfar / Dafar
You should be aware that Darfar (as in Darfar Bridge, Pot, etc.) is misspelt as Dafar on OS maps of a certain scale. On larger scaled (more detailed) maps it is correct as you can see on the excellent Magic web site. This map shows the correct spelling and this one the incorrect spelling. (Then of course there's Darfur, which is a place in Africa...)
